We are looking for you who want a stimulating and varied job, in an industry which has taken Norway by storm? Siemens Gamesa have overtaken several wind parks in Norway, which needs maintenance and upkeep. For this reason, we are looking for a skilled service technician who wishes to help create a more sustainable future.

We are now recruiting Service technicians to our sites in Vikeså, Tellenes, Tonstad, and Egersund.

Our Vikeså hub serves the wind parks in Bjerkreim cluster, Stigafjellet and Måkaknuten with a total of 100 wind turbines. In the region is also Tonstad wind park with 51 turbines, Tellenes wind park with 51 and Egersund wind park with 33 wind turbines.

How to contribute to our vision.

You will be responsible for service and maintenance of wind turbines at our customers’ wind farms.

As a service technician at Siemens Gamesa you will be one of our integral parts in the upkeep of production time for our customers.

Together with your skilled team, you will be responsible for service and maintenance of our wind parks, and much of the daily work will be on-site of various mechanical and electrotechnical tasks. A high amount of the workload will be set during the summer, while you will use the snowscooter in winter period for pro-active as well as needed maintenance tasks. This can be both repairs changing of components and more.

You need to be comfortable working high above ground and in small spaces. We advise that you need approved offshore health test at second round of interview.

You get the chance to use your knowledge in electricity and mechanics where you independently solve problems on site to ensure high operational reliability and provide excellent service to our customers.

You will be supporting our customers both remotely and onsite and coordinate service operations and resolve product issues. This includes carrying out improvement measures and modifications.

You are responsible for reporting and documentation of your work, including supervising, coordinating and follow up jobs performed by subcontractors.

Do you not have experience with wind turbines?

This is not an issue. At Siemens Gamesa we have our own school of technicians where you will receive training and on-boarding.

What You Need To Make a Difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. You have a flexible schedule and have a driving license B, as you will be driving to our different sites.

If you get offered the position you will be getting a health check and a drug test before you start.

You can communicate clearly both in Norwegian and English, and you preferably already live in the area or are ready to move to the region. We also see that you…

  • Good computer knowledge.
You Will Also Need One Of The Following Qualifications

  • Electrician with certificate group-L
  • Energy Operator
  • Wind Technician
It will be an advantage to have drivers license for forklift, snowscooter, and trailer, as well as having an interest and skills in the use of digital platforms and tools.

If you have experience from industrial plants or knowledge of hydraulic plants? We highly recommend you apply for this position.
