Our Rail Signalling and Communication systems are used on metro lines across major cities, and 72,000 kms of route, 52,000 trains per day in 16 countries are controlled by our Traffic Management Systems. Together We deployed the first-ever nationwide ticketing system which processes over 50 million ticketing transactions in 100 cities daily.

In Norway, Thales is currently delivering the signaling system SignAn and developing the next generation Traffic Management System (TMS) together with BaneNOR.

For the TMS Project, we are now looking for a Planning Manager with a high level of experience in project planning and reporting activities, preferably with deep knowledge of planning tools and processes. The main purpose of the role is to actively support the Project by executing all planning activities and leading the reporting in line with internal processes and ways of working.

In This Role, Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Planning Manager for the TMS project, covering all the WBS
  • Creation and maintenance of the schedule
  • Monthly progress report to the customer
  • Internal reporting
  • Create and update the Contractor Contract Baseline
  • Contribute with KPI updates for Management Reviews
  • Strong coordination with all the entities contributing to the project both internally and externally
To be qualified for this role, you need to have the following qualifications and experience:
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Railway or similar
  • Min. 5 years’ experience as Planning Manager
  • Full overview of the business lifecycle management, including capture, qualification and developing plans, and winning strategies
  • Extensive client and stakeholder management
  • Extensive knowledge within MS Office tools and Primavera
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, written and spoken
