Where you fit inIn Stavanger, we are looking for a Finance Advisor to strengthen the Finance team. The selected candidate will report directly to the Norway Finance Manager and have a central role in the company’s financial planning, business performance appraisal and capital budgeting activities in conjunction with senior management.What’s the role?The Finance Advisor is expected to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders across businesses and disciplines. Gain confidence from others through authenticity with ability to speak up and challenge; where appropriate.An important part of the role is to manage performance through providing insights into past, current and expected future performance. This includes jointly creating and discussing consolidated forecasted profit and loss, cash flows and balance sheet statements. As well as monitoring non-financial indicators within areas such as production, safety and environment.Part of the Finance team is located in other international locations. The advisor should leverage the combined capability of the organization to act as one integrated team across locations. The deliverables are mainly addressed to the Norwegian Leadership Team, stakeholders in the wider Shell group; as well as the A/S Norske Shell board.What We Need From You
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Business knowledge from the energy industry is an advantage, but not required
  • Interest in leveraging digital solutions (such as Power BI) to effectively analyse and visualize data, and to improve processes
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
  • Learner mindset, self-starter, and positive attitude to work
