Job Description

The primary responsibilities of the Sales Representative are customers and related sales management for the BIOMARK products and, as a secondary responsibility, for VAKI and AGO brand of products.
  • This includes developing, negotiating, managing, and growing long-term relationships and sales opportunities for our Animal Health EURAM products and services across customer accounts.
  • This position requires a basic knowledge of the conservation and aquaculture-related fields and an understanding, following a proper training period, of the Animal Health EURAM brand of products (Biomark, VAKI and AGO).
  • This position also includes participation in installing BIOMARK PIT tag detection stations around Europe with the EURAM team (when required) for wildlife conservation or aquaculture projects.
  • This position requires attending and participating to trade shows, conferences, and other events in the conservation or aquaculture sector, to promote BIOMARK (and VAKI and AGO ) products and to engage with new and already existing customers.
  • This position requires travel (national or international) out of the office for approx. 50 % of the working hours.
  • This position is intended primarily for the Northern Europe/Scandinavia area and market. It may be required to travel or to support customers also in other areas around Europe if required.
The training period is estimated in 3 to 6 months, and it may include a few weeks at the Biomark headquarters in the USA as well as in Iceland for the Vaki products (if requested). Further training will be provided through the internal portfolio related to marketing strategies and marketing/negotiating skills.

The Preferred employee location is Northern Europe or Scandinavia

Work will be performed as Home Office unless different agreement.

  • Manage new and existing BIOMARK customers, mainly in Northern Europe and Scandinavia.
  • Manage new and existing BIOMARK (and VAKI and AGO, if needed) products within the Aqua EURAM portfolio and when necessary, provide on-site sales support and facilitate onsite technical support to customers.
  • Execute key strategies and tactics required to accelerate sales within assigned accounts utilizing available resources at Our Company to facilitate meeting revenue goals.
  • Develop proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and implement contractual agreements with new and existing customers for delivering financial results for Aqua EURAM business
  • Availability to attend a trade show, exhibitions, and other events to promote our company’s Aqua portfolio and to meet and interact with potential and existing customers.
  • Availability to attend the regular online meeting and organize proper written reports on the weekly activities.
  • Availability to fieldwork, sometimes in harsh conditions, during the installation phase of Biomark PIT tag monitoring equipment around Europe.
  • Collaboration on new product development and testing.
  • Contribute to our company’s Aqua EURAM ’s existing mission to connect animals and people for a smarter future both in the conservation and aquaculture sector.
  • Coordinate all activities in support of customer needs. This includes communicating in detail and frequently with the our company’s Aqua EURAM team and occasionally with the Merck Aqua NORAM to make sure to match company and customer requirements.

This position is an individual contributor role.

It is critical that the BIOMARK sales representative demonstrates the ability to foster collaborative relationships and build a partnership with other internal stakeholders and teams with shared responsibility for customers inside the EURAM (Europe) and NORAM (North America) groups. This position requires a continuous commitment to search for innovations and ideas within the vision of The Science of Healthier Animals®, to leverage and develop new products and solutions that will directly address customer needs and further advance the animal health industry and wildlife conservation efforts.


Education Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (Conservation, Biology, Aquaculture, Veterinarian, or related discipline preferred)
Required Experience & Skills
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of combined work experience in the Conservation or Aquaculture related field as a private entrepreneur/consultant or as an employee.
  • General knowledge and understanding of the conservation and aquaculture fields, also in relation to existing EU directives and regulations.
  • Ability to build business relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to develop and implement accurate account and core strategic marketing plans.
  • Good oral, written and presentation communication skills and be able to collaborate across departments and functional areas.
  • Minimum selling and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to identify, develop and maintain a strategic relationship with customers.
  • Innovative thinking.
  • Ability to work as part of a fast-paced, growing team in a developing industry.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% within the EURAM region.
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Availability to have regular online meetings with the EURAM team to discuss and report ongoing and future projects and marketing strategies.
  • Availability to work in harsh cold conditions (wintertime) to install BIOMARK PIT tag monitoring equipment in the field
  • Flexibility in working and travelling times
Preferred Experience & Skills
  • Experience in the conservation and/or aquaculture field.
  • Combined work experience in Sales, Sales Management or Marketing roles.
  • Driving license.
  • Other spoken languages apart from English.
